Lighthouse have historically been used as navigational tools for boats. Although electronic tools have become more popular, lighthouses are still exist. All the Great Lakes have lighthouses around their shores. The graphs above shows how many lighthouses can be found around each Great Lake.
Lake Michigan has the most lighthouses with over 100. Lake Ontario has the least with 35 lighthouses. Erie, Huron, and Superior all above about the same amount of lighthouse. The exact numbers can be seen in the graph above. However, these number are meant to be “best guess” estimates. It is hard to know the exact number of lighthouses.
